We are looking for a Mechanic to join our Team in our Amsterdam base!

The successful candidate will be working closely with our Transport Manager. This person will be supporting the day-to-day tasks in relation to our Fleet and its general up-keep.

Working Hours: 2 Shift Patterns AM/PM

Salary: start at €60,000 negotiable depending on experience

€2000 Sign-on Bonus

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and support the day-to-day maintenance of vehicles.
• Conduct general vehicle inspections.
• Investigate and diagnose vehicles based on reports submitted by drivers and take the appropriate action.
• Identify Mechanical and Electrical problems and be able to resolve them.
• Test parts and systems to ensure that they are working properly.
• Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment as necessary.
• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance according to schedules established by Vehicle and System manufactures.
• Follow Operational Policy and procedures, submit and record all relevant documentation.
• Submit reports as required in addition to maintaining record keeping systems.
• Perform other office duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills

• Qualification as Motor Mechanic
• Class “C” Driving Licence is preferrable. Class “B” Driving Licence is essential.
• Leaving Certificate
• 3 years’ experience working in the same / equivalent role
• Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus
• Critical Thinking and Troubleshooting Skills

• Full B Driver starting rate – €14.50.

Security CIT Driver requirements

• To collect and deliver customer lodgements/ orders as assigned and in line with procedures and regulations. Must be flexible with regard to working hours; weekly working will include weekends on a rotational basis
• Complete all necessary checks regarding deliveries and collections before leaving site
• Complete as rostered all collections and deliveries
• Provide excellent customer service to client base
• Communicate with HQ regarding any issues arising
• Comply with all RSA and CPC requirements

Skills/Experience

• Previous Multi drop driving experience advantage
• Full Clean C-class Driving Licence
• CPC and Tachograph Card required, if applicable
• Fluent English (both verbal and written)
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good attention to detail
• Enthusiastic, flexible, dependable and punctual
• Team Oriented
